Former dual international athlete, Wagga Wagga sporting Hall of Famer and transitioned sportswoman Kirsti Miller and I are excited and proud to announce our first podcast on transgender issues.
Following on from my article – an open letter to Sam Newman we felt there was a need to share current news on transgender issues.
We also discuss these issues through our own lived experiences and after this first podcast, we’ll be inviting regular guests onto our show.
This week the AFLW Pride round is discussed, plus an XY transgender woman’s physiology from a scientific viewpoint.
Here’s a pic of me at work… think about this before your derogatory comments, animals. pic.twitter.com/68aBVVbTTj

We also touch on the infamous and wonderfully athletic Tayla Harris photo and how feminine qualities being maligned also impact on transgender women.
The first transgender mouth guard to play in the @aflwomens, last year we had trans special toilets can’t wait for 2020. The @aflw promotes gender apartheid.@adv_trans_sport @outsports @SusanAlberti1 @TraceyLeeHolmes @Kate_ohalloran @PrideinSportAU @aflw @AthleteAlly pic.twitter.com/fED2z9pxci

Also we saw the first transgender representatives playing in the AFLW – in 2018 it was gender-neutral toilets and in 2019 a mouthguard. We’d love to see an actual flesh and blood trans woman out there representing on the field, either as a player and/or officiating in 2020.
We do hope you enjoy listening to our podcast.
